We've been seeing some traffic on our site, which is exciting to see! Unfortunately, perhaps you had some questions, but are not able to communicate with the staff. Your frustration is understandable - we didn't know that the Shoutbox would be hidden to non-members of the forum. Making it a bigger pain is that, even as Admins, we aren't able to make the Shoutbox visible. (Though I am still sifting through the site's coding stuff to see if I can change that.)
Until we are able to do something about that, passersby will have to register with our forum if you want to ask us questions. Maybe we can answer questions that our rules and set up doesn't already explain - or perhaps you have your own suggestions. We'd love to hear from you, and we'd very much enjoy your company on the site. That said, our forum isn't quite finished yet, as there are still aspects and gameplay mechanics that are being worked out. But don't let that deter you from joining! Even though some things are not complete, our baseline necessities are in place, so you can easily begin your character's story!
