Finding yourself in a battle against another player? Welp, we have some rules to follow.
For starters, and it really should be obvious from the start - you cannot and do not have a say in what the other player does, or is located in combat. Gming (God-Modding) is strictly prohibited - so if you, or another player, is found to be Gming, the offending post will be required to be edited. Don't make staff have to intervene in this matter, because it may lead to the Gming player being given a warning. And warnings can lead to temporary bans. Repeat offenders will have their accounts banned permanently. This is a non-negotiable rule.
When combat begins between players, all present parties will conduct an Initial Roll - click on the dice button two over on the right of the smiley icon and input:
1d100
From there, whichever player has the highest number is able to act first. The players then begin posting their characters' actions and reactions during the battle, rolling their specific Combat Dice once per turn, until one player's health deplete's to 0, or surrenders the battle.
Using Items
Items in combat could very well determine who wins the day, but with the randomization of the combat dice roll, it depends on your luck. Using an item during combat means that you cannot attack the other player during the same turn - so be careful when you use it!
Combat Roll
The PvP Combat system operates very much like the way Space Combat and Ground Combat does. Players have specific Dice and Health Points granted to them from the day they create their character. However, unlike military units, a player can upgrade their character - be it through leveling up, or by purchasing weapons, items, and armor. Players start out, by default, with this setting:
Combat Dice
2d20
Health Points
200/200
However, as players level up, they will be granted higher numbers.
Level 1 - 2d20 200/200
Level 2 - 2d25 250/250
Level 3 - 2d30 300/300
Level 4 - 2d35 350/350
Level 5 - 2d40 400/400
As said before, weapons and armor can increase your Combat Dice and Health Points respectively.
Restricted Weapons
In order to maintain proper balance and standardization, there are some weapons that are restricted to specific character classifications. For now, there is only one.
Lightsaber - This weapon is restricted to Jedi, Dark Jedi, Imperial Knights, and Sith. Players that do not fall into this criteria cannot wield this weapon in PvP combat. However - players can own one if they RP discovering one in a proper roleplay (Meaning you can't just find one in some dusty old bin or house by chance - you have to fight for it.). Players that do not fall into the above criteria are permitted to use it in RP situations, but you are by far no expert. Players that do not fall into the above requirements CANNOT use the lightsaber to deflect oncoming blasterfire, even in non-PvP RP situations.
Using the Force in PvP
Needless to say, this rule is very necessary, as Force Powers act as a Buff to your Combat Roll, if your character possess any powers. As your character levels up, their possessed Force Powers grow with the character. Force powers add to the Combat Roll - but as additives, NOT multipliers. It does not matter if the power is a Force Push or Force Lightning - it is restricted to the below stat buffs. NOTE - These are buffs are not permanent! They are ONLY additives for the Combat Roll that you decide to use the Force Power. Players may only use ONE Force Power in a post.
Level 1 - +d5
Level 2 - +d10
Level 3 - +d15
Level 4 - +d20
Level 5 - +d25
Please note - Force Powers CANNOT be used in Ship to Ship Combat, with the ONLY exception of Battle Meditation. You can only use FOUR Force Powers for the duration of your battle. Once you have used them - you cannot use any further Force Powers for the rest of the combat - this is to prevent players from spamming powers at each other.
